The Paleo Diet is a diet based on the types of foods presumed to have been eaten by early humans, consisting chiefly of meat, fish, vegetables, and fruit and excluding dairy or cereal products and processed food.

It has been widely speculated that our modern diet, full of refined foods, trans fats and sugar, is at the ultimate causeĀ of illnesses such as obesity, cancer, diabetes and heart disease etc.

So what should we be eating?

As part of the Paleo Diet, it is recommended that fruits, vegetables, lean meats, seafood, eggs, nuts & seeds and healthy fats are consumed. It is imperative to avoid processed foods, starches, legumes (beans/lentils), trans fats, artificial sweateners, grains (bread/wheat/spelt) and dairy

If you feel like a treat, a glass of red wine or dark chocolate (70+% cacao) is suitable!
